The National Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which is being celebrated today, represents crowning moment of the struggle led by the founding father Late King Abdul Aziz bin Abdul Rahman Al-Saud, who led his people in a long struggle that culminated in the birth of this great country which he named the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932.
King Abdul Aziz was able to unite the land of his ancestral rule into a single country which proudly hoists the flag of divine unity, implements the Islamic laws, serves the Two Holy Mosques, supports Islamic preaching everywhere, and building the Saudi society into a modern one, through promotion of education, health, economy and security.
That divided society is transformed, by the grace of Allah Almighty and the endeavor of the state, into a civilized united society, distinguished in awareness, culture and knowledge. Saudi society is now modern and civilized while holding on to the fundamentals of its pristine religion, distinctive customs, fascinating heritage and is proud of its Arab and Muslim descent.
The sincerity of intention, determination, will of the people, and above everything the grant of success from Allah Almighty and then the cohesion of our wise leadership with its loyal people, has been and will remain a protective shield against every dissension and all difficulties that are confronted by any nation and society.

It has also committed all its resources for the service of Islam and Muslims. As all rulers of the Kingdom starting with its founder the Late King Abdul Aziz, followed by his illustrious and faithful sons, to the present leadership and auspicious era led by King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz, have tirelessly devoted themselves to facilitate the Hajj rituals for the pilgrims. Expansion projects of the Two Holy Mosques at Makkah and Madinah continued steadily and now the Two Holy Mosques at Makkah and Madinah in addition to the other places of the Hajj rituals have become more comfortable and secure for the pilgrims.
The Kingdom has continuously been providing economic assistance to the Muslim and non-Muslim countries and communities, supporting and defending the Muslim causes and providing material and moral support to Muslim communities everywhere, through generous contributions for building mosques, Islamic cultural centers, and provision of assistance and prompt relief to calamity stricken countries.
