Sartaj Aziz has held ministerial portfolios of Food, Agriculture and Cooperatives (1984-1988), Food & Agriculture and Local Government & Rural Development (1988), Finance, Planning and Economic Affairs (1990-1993), Finance, Planning and Economic Affairs (1997-1998) and Foreign Affairs (1998-1999). He holds a Masters in Development Economics from Harvard University, Cambridge, USA. A well-known economist and a political thinker, he has published several works on development, agriculture and politics. Mr. Sartaj Aziz was elected to the Senate of Pakistan on three occasions (1985, 1988 an 1994). He currently serves as the Vice Chancellor of Beaconhouse National University in Lahore.
